Our resident manager, Simone, will give you all the informations about the beach where practice surf, kite surf and windsurf. On request, he will come with you and give assistance.

We have conventions with some sport centers like diving, jet ski, kite surf, surf and windsurf.

At Sakaroulé we have a special storage sport equipment room, free of charge.

We can propose you a tour island half day or full day, with a visit to the Salinas of Pedra de Lume a

rare and wonderful site.

You can enjoy doing excursions by moto quad 4x4, by catamaran or canoa.

Simone will give you all informations about the best and cheap restaurants on the island.

Internet is available with a supplement of 2 euro per day.

We have a library with books and magazines in different languages which our guest are welcomed to borrow during their stay.

Inside our patio you will find a small shop with local souvenirs and handcrafts.

VISA

Do I need a Visa for Cape Verde?

A valid passport and visa are required to enter Cape Verde. You can get a 30 days valid tourist visa

on arrival at the airport for 25 euro.

 

TRANSFER

How do I get from airport to Sakaroulé?

We organize a 24 hours available transfer from and to the airport in a taxi or a pick-up.

Here the oficial taxi fares of Sal:

Taxi/Pick-up, day   15 euro

Taxi/Pick-up, night  20 euro

Please, when making a booking, always specify time of arrival and departure airport or flight

number, so that we can arrange for a transfer and a taxi driver to wait you in the airport hall.

 

MONEY

How do I handle my money here?

The currency in Cape Verde is escudo and the official change rate set by the government is 1 euro

= 110 escudos. Euro is the accepted currency and if you prefer taking cash money with you, bring

euros which you can use everywhere or change as you go.

In Santa Maria there are many multi-lingual ATMs where you can use the Visa or Mastercard credit

cards. You can also change other currency or traveller’s checks in the bank. Always bring your

passport with you. Opening hours are 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., closed on Saturday and Sunday.

 

TELEPHONE AND INTERNET

Where do I make phone calls and access internet?

In many places around town it is possible to purchase a SIM (with local number) card for your

mobile phone or to make international phone calls at an affordable price.

At Sakaroulé you can navigate on internet with a supplement of 2 euro for your entire stay.

 

SAKAROULÉ STAFF

Who is going to be there for me in Sakaroulé?

All year round residents of the Sakaroulé B&B and guest relation managers, Simone and Sara.

They will do you check in and out, serving breakfast and assisting you from 08 a.m. until 10 a.m.

and from 06 p.m. until 8 p.m.. However they do live inside Sakaroulé and should be available in

case of need.

Daily cleaning, except Sundays, by a trusted local lady, Sandra, who i also in charge of the laundry

of your personal items, on request and with an extra charge.
